This job contributes to the success of the City of Light Caf by ensuring service and Cafe standards are met. This is acco! mplished by providing customers with prompt service, quality beverages and products. The City of Light Caf and its Partners and patrons should experience a friendly, upbeat and clean atmosphere.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develops enthusiastically satisfied customers all of the time.
Welcomes and connects with every customer.
Discover customer needs and appropriately suggests product with every customer to enhance service.
Responds to customer needs while demonstrating a Christlike attitude.
2. Provides quality beverages consistently for all customers
Prepares Caf beverages according to standards.
Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
3. Maintains Quality store operations
Follows store policy and procedures for operational flow at each station.
Follows standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating and storing products.
Performs cleaning tasks in accordance with the cleaning standar! ds and works as a store team member.

4. Contributes to store profitability
Follows cash handling procedures and cash register policies.
Follows inventory stocking and recording guidelines.
Contributes to store goals for increasing sales and improving profits.
5. Takes responsibility to learn all aspects of the barista position
Is responsible for self-initiated learning.
Learns and demonstrates creating the City of Light Experience.
Learns and demonstrates all performance standards listed in the Core Learning Journey
Ensure exceptional in-store experiences for Partners through exceptional service
Will cross-train in the Bookstore as well
Experience and Skills:
Education:
Preferred 2 years Associate Degree or higher. Bible College courses and training are desirable.
Work:
Previous Caf experience preferred
Knowledge of customer service techniques
Enthusiastic, self-motivated and customer service driven wi! th a commitment to retailing.
Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends as dictated by the needs of the business.
Must be able to demonstrate effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Exhibit the ability to communicate with people of multi-cultural and theological backgrounds and work with minimum direct supervision.
Must be able to lead individuals to a relationship with Christ and disciple them.
Must be a team player and exhibit the ability to work in a team environment that crosses internal and external organizational boundaries as well as multi-cultural and varied theological backgrounds.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Required…Demonstrated high level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. The ability to function well in the Internet environment and be able to access and update Partner records being maintained in the Partner database.
Preferred… Have a background in POS syste! m and accounting systems.
