YouthBuild Project Director
Location: Kingstree South Carolina
Description: Telamon Corporation is in need of YouthBuild Project Director right now, this job will be placed in South Carolina. Organizes and manages daily program operations of the YouthBuild project, including trainee attendance and disciplinary systems. Utilizes activities designed to focus on the trainees’ total well-being and future successful transitions. Facilitates coordination and team work among YouthBuild and housing staff as well as community partners.
State teaching certificate in! secondary and/or adult education and a state license in home-building contracting preferred. Valid driver’s license; valid car insurance and capability to upgrade and/or maintain it at Telamon’s minimum requisite levels (subject to change-please see Personnel Manual, Sect. 1007 for current requirements).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree in a related field and at least two years management and supervisory experience and two years working with youth. Computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office or comparable software. Must have effective oral and written communications skills, and the ability to work with individuals at various socio-economic levels. Knowledge of area education systems and community resources available to youth and young adults. Experience negotiating and working with community and public organizations and agencies to successfully create collaborative rela-tionships or coalitions. Travel and irregular work hours required.!
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to travel ! and work irregular hours. Ability to climb stairs and in-spect rehabilitation projects as needed. Ability to sit for extended periods and use desktop computing systems. Ability to work under stress and tight deadlines.
Office environment, business dress, according to current policy.
