Functional Analyst Position

Hays is looking for a Functional Analyst with Mainframe experience for one of our clients in Brussels.
The role you will take:
- You will translate business needs into a functional and technical solution for implementation by mainframe development teams.
- You will work with business representatives and other IT teams to build the best possible solution.
- You will prepare and perform functional tests before validating the solution with the business.
- You may also manage one or several project(s) and document the functional and technical aspects of the applications.
- You may need to implement changes in the programs if necessary.
Your profile:
- You have a higher education degree (bachelor or master) in a relevant field for the position.
- You have previous experience in a similar role.
- You are proficient in classic office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
- You can understand how a PL/1 program works, or you are willing to learn this skill quickly.
- You have basic knowledge of relational databases (SQL, DB2, etc.).
- Fluent in Dutch with professional knowledge of French
Assets:
- You have knowledge of mainframe and programming languages such as PL/1, Cobol, etc.
- You know how social security and mutualities work in Belgium (insurance, benefits, healthcare, etc.).
- You are familiar with one or more analytical methods such as UML.
