The Sourcing Specialist is accountable for helping deliver Procurement value to over 1500 locations across all three of KinderCare’s brands including KinderCare, KinderCare at Work, and Champions, as well as our Corporate Office! Working in a collaborative culture, the specialist plays an important role in delivering financial results and operational improvements. Sourcing is involved in every aspect of company operations by working collaboratively with functional areas such as Center Operations, Facilities and Construction. This role will complete the sourcing process including opportunity assessment, requirements development, RFP’s, negotiations, and contracting for portfolio of offerings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:- Drive procurement sourcing projects for a variety of products and services
- Plan and handle multiple (6-10) projects concurrently, ensuring achievements are completed timely to deliver results and minimizing non-value-added effort
- Collaborate and ensure alignment with functional and procurement partners throughout the process
- Define the project strategy including the current state at KinderCare, goals, scope, bidders, and the project plan
- Analyze proposals, ascertaining equivalent specifications and/or services and total cost
- Develop strategies with negotiable points and targets and best method to attain most optimal outcome and lowest overall cost
- Review and document contracts, influence the use of standard templates, ensure clear and complete requirements and performance standards, mitigate risks, and protect our standards for business
- Assist Procurement Manager on more sophisticated projects.
- Complete other work which helps Procurement and the larger FP&A team attain annual goals/OKRs that supports the company’s financial plan.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Supply Chain or Business.
- Minimum of 2 years of procurement experience and strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation preferably within a multi-unite corporate environment.
- Proficient in using procurement software systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to analyze data, conduct market research, and make informed decisions.
- Exceptional communication abilities and ability to work cross-functionally with other teams and partners.
