Job Description
Reporting to the Processing Plant Purchasing & Logistics Supervisor, you will be responsible for the storage, issue and receipting of warehouse stock, spares and consumables for our underground mining operation. Picture large mining excavators, trucks, drills rigs, graders, dozers and other ancillary equipment.
- Inventory control - receiving, issuing, storage, inward/outward shipping of supply
- Daily and rolling stock takes, accurately recording levels
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Operating the forklift in a safe and efficient manner
- Housekeeping of the warehouse and remote yards in a safe, clean and tidy condition
- Comply with all safety requirements, company policies and procedures
- Data entry and processing of invoices in Pronto
- Supply of goods and materials in a timely manner
- Employ best practice inventory management and logistics processes.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehousing, logistics or parts within an industrial, manufacturing or mining sector
- Competence and confidence operating a forklift
- Computer literacy is essential including Excel and Pronto or SAP
- Ideally hold a qualification relating to warehousing or logistics
- Hold a full, clean, current driver’s licence
- A high level of accuracy in stock taking and data entry
- Display good housekeeping skills
- A high degree of safety awareness
- Demonstrated experience providing solutions to problems
- A self-driven, results and improvement orientated approach
