This position will be responsible for sourcing and securing the required materials and component parts. • Identifying, sourcing and developing new suppliers and technologies related to the improvement of current products and to new product launches; • Working on supplier selection and negotiations involving price, quality, delivery, terms, etc.; • Working with other departments to collaborate in the design and procurement of components to ensure part quality, optimal supply chain efficiency, and flawless launches; • Identifying timelines and tasks required to meet product launch schedules, cost, and quality objectives; • Tracking projects and identifying necessary corrective actions and plans to meet objectives and communicate critical issues as required. Experience : • 3+ years of purchasing and/or supply chain experience in a high-volume consumer goods manufacturing environment; • Strong knowledge of global sourcing and supplier technology development; • Material flow process knowledge (transportations, lead-times, tier 2 supply, etc.); • Strong analytical and spreadsheets skills, including cost modeling; • Understanding of engineering drawings of component parts; • Expertise in supplier processes and cost drivers; • Proven negotiation skills with a history of negotiating complex business issues and risk assessment; • Must have excellent communication and leadership skills.
