The candidate will direct a small IT department - 1 network guy, 1 PC Support guy and 1 - 2 JDE programmers. Our client uses JDE World for ERP at this location. This person will be over the JDE and Network/PC Support areas. Ideal candidate should be either a new manager or a project manager or Lead that has had some supervisory responsibilities. Ideally would have come from a smaller manufacturer (100 - 200 manufacturing people ) and moves up to this (200 - 300 people) environment. Must have JDE BA experience. No programming in the job - but would have had RPG programming background at some point to enable candidate to supervise other JDE RPG programmers. Other responsibilities will include: Provide strategic and tactical leadership Drive IT metrics (helpdesk, downtime measurements, deliveries, etc.) Researches and recommends system development priorities Departmental Reporting Departmental Budget Planning and Tracking, Project Planning and plan organization/development Adherence and upholding of corporate IT standards and policies Documentation and maintenance of SOX related matters
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related technical/management field or experienced considered Must be a strong Business Analyst in JDE manufacturing ERP-preferably JDE World No programming in the job -but hopefully had RPG programming background at some point so s/he can supervise other JDE RPG programmers Needs Project management skills High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with normal activities. Demonstrated ability to influence others and impact change. Well organized. Participative management style - advocates team concept. Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along well with diverse personalities - tactful - mature - flexible. Ability to establish credibility and be decisive - but able to recognize and support the organization's preferences and priorities. Results- and profit-oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations.

Needs budgeting and administrative experience (a little) Prior management experience (a little) - 1 to 2 years
