Sales Executive (Cross Sell Team)

Location: Greenville South Carolina

Description: athenahealth, Inc. is in need of Sales Executive (Cross Sell Team) right now, this occupation will be placed in South Carolina. We are hiring a Sales Executive for a national territory to focus on the cross sale of our clinical and patient communication solutions into the existing athenahealth Customer Base . The role will be based in the Enterprise Practice Customer Segment. Candidates must be willing to commit to up to 60% national travel.

The primary responsibility of the Sales Executive is to sell athenahealth’s clinical and patient communication solutions to physicians and physician organizations in our Enterprise Practice Customer Segment, 21+ MDs, within an assigned territory. The Sales Executive is responsible to meet and or exceed the assigned quota for their territory. The Sales Executive will report directly to the Director, Cross Sell Team.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Independently manage assigned territory, including:
  • Ensure his/her region achieves or exceeds required quota;
  • Ensure territory coverage to touch all opportunities on a scheduled basis;
  • Independently develop processes to obtain leads through comparison and evaluation of possible sourcing opportunities;
  • Identify prospective situations where Athena services can be sold;
  • Using leads obtained through lead developing process, contact clients to assess their individual needs and demonstrate how athena’s products can meet or exceed these needs;
  • Target and obtain audiences/ appointments with physicians and physician practices;
  • Present athenahealth solutions from beginning to end including conducting on-line demonstrations;
  • Develop and submit comprehensive proposals based on the individually assessed needs of potential clients;
  • Maintain accurate up-to-date sales pipeline and forecasts;
  • Work closely with athenahealth’s Account Management Team and Partners to leverage introductions; Other duties as assigned by the Director, Cross Sell Team.
Background Requirements
  • BA required
  • athenahealth solution knowledge;
  • Strong sales administration skills, timely and accurate reporting;
  • Demonstrated experience developing processes to obtain leads through comparison and evaluation of possible sourcing opportunities;
  • Expertise in territory management and organization;
  • Experience in positions requiring the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to significant matters;
  • Proven ability to achieve goals;
  • Solid mastery of the economics of medical practices and ROI delivery;
  • Knowledge of organizing and managing a territory;
  • Proven Negotiation Skills;
  • Demonstrated earnings history.
