The Manufacturing Engineer II provides electromechanical assembly manufacturing process support to the organization. Position reports to the Manufacturing Engine! ering Manager.
Responsibilities:
- ! Design, implement & streamline manufacturing processes, equipment and procedures
- Assist with continuous improvement Six-Sigma activities
- Assist in plant layout changes to improve flow & minimize waste
- Apply knowledge of standard concepts, practices & procedures within mechanical engineering/design field
- Rely on experience & judgment to plan/accomplish goals
- Certain degree of creativity & latitude is required
- May provide information to others & appropriately shares information & knowledge to achieve desired goals
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- Minimum of 4 years manufacturing engineering experience
- Background in electronics manufacturing, cable/wire harness & complex assembly
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Working knowledge of Lean Six-Sigma (6S)
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be abl! e to handle quick-turn & repeat programs
- Knowledge of IPC, J-STD, MIL & DOD stds
