JOB PURPOSE:
Using the practitioner-scholar model, the Coordin! ator for Anxiety Disorders will deliver clinical services and engage in administrative duties. Clinical services, directly influenced by a thorough knowledge of theoretical and applied models of interventions, include: psychotherapy and counseling to students; assessment; supervision of trainees; consultation; and teaching. Administrative involvement in the overall functioning and service delivery within CAPS, Redfern Health Center, Student Affairs and university wide with emphasis on the treatment of anxiety disorders.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
DIRECT SERVICES: E/55%
1. Psychotherapy: delivers counseling and psychotherapy to clients on an individual, couples, and group format. Engages in triage, diagnostic interviewing, development and implementation of treatment plans. Provides crisis intervention and emergency services on-site and through on-call system.
2. Assessment: conducts psychological evaluations to include administration and ! interpretation of assessment instruments as determined by the ! presenting problem.
3. Supervision of trainees: provides supervision for the various professional developmental needs of post-doctoral, interns and practicum trainees.
4. Consultation: engages in consultation as requested relative to internal and external psychological needs. Conducts outreach services to disseminate information about wellness, psychological issues and their treatment.
5. Teaching: may engage in formal teaching as requested by the academic departments. Engages in formal teaching of peers/trainees.

ADMINISTRATIVE: E/35%
1. Serves as Coordinator for Anxiety Disorders Services.
2. Participates in program development, implementation and goal setting.
3. Participates in internal, both CAPS and RHC committees as well as external committees within Student Affairs and the University as required.
4. As a senior staff member, assists with the administration of the Center in the absence of the Director o! r Associate/Assistant Director.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT: E/5%
1. Maintains appropriate professional licensure.
2. Attends and participates in professional conferences and conventions at the local, regional and national levels.
3. Engages in program evaluation and research.

OTHER: NE/5%
Periodic on-call rotation and after hour duties. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
A doctorate in any field of psychology, such as clinical or counseling psychology, from an accredited college or university and experience in the practice of psychology.

PREFERRED IN ADDITION TO THE MINIMUM:
Doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from APA accredited programs and eligible for licensure as psychologist in the State of South Carolina. Must adhere to American Psychological Association's Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct.

****Will consider applica! nts on internship but must have the doctorate degree awarded by the sta! rting date. Will provide post-doctoral supervision for licensure.

PAY & WORK SCHEDULE:
Standard Hr.: 37.5; Band: 07 ($ 46,169.00 - $ 85,417.00) Salary negotiable based on current license and experience.

Periodic on-call rotation to include evenings, nights, weekends.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Position requires adherence to the practitioner-scholar model to deliver clinical services and engage in administrative duties. Must have knowledge of theoretical and applied models of intervention; competence for delivery of psychotherapy and counseling, assessment, supervision of trainees, consultation and teaching. Knowledge of program evaluation and research design is required. Position is supervised by Director of Counseling & Psychological Services.

GUIDELINES AND SUPERVISION:
CAPS goals, objectives and individual areas of coordination will be reviewed bi-annually with formal individual review annual! ly. Ongoing supervision and peer consultation are available as needed. Evaluation of teaching to be conducted by relevant academic departments. Employee's independence is fostered as it adheres to the standard of the reasonable and prudent practitioner.

American Psychological Association membership required. Additional professional certifications/memberships are encouraged. Periodic on-call and after hours outreach presentations required.
