Minimum of 1- 3 year related experience required
Q! ualifications
Education: Must have completed an accredited LPN program
Experience: Previous experience in an acute care surgical services/OR setting required.
Licensure and certification:
Current and in good standing LPN Licensure with South Carolina Board of Nursing.
American Heart Association Healthcare provider course with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required to be initially completed with the GHS Staff Development Office within 30 calendar days of hire date (exceptions to obtain certification from a provider other than the GHS Staff Development Office are approved by Staff development on a case by case basis). BLS Recertification is required every two years.
ACLS preferred
Special Skills: Works with patients, families, physicians, and other health care providers.
Other:

and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Position Summary: The LPN is responsible for the provision of nursing care based on AORN standards of care and
professional nursing practice; accountable for outcomes of nursing care delivered. The LPN participates in the provision of nursing care
by performing specific activities and technical procedures as delegated, planning and implementing patient care under the
supervision of the Circulating Registered Nurse and based on the Nursing Process. The LPN assists during operative procedures,
ensures the operating suite is adequately prepared for the procedure, monitors PAR levels of supplies and
equipment,.
