Shift: 3rd Shift
Overall Purpose:
The Juice Mixer/Blender position is accountable for facilitating the activities of the batching! team to ensure the continuous flow of quality product to the production lines.
Specific Accountabilities:
- Responsible for complying with food safety, food security, Quality, GMPâs, HAACP, Allergen, and Sensitizer as well as other regulations as required.
- Know and follow all company safety procedures and policies, as well as all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Ensure customer satisfaction in the production of and the maintaining of juice quality while maintaining the integrity of the product run on the lines based on
- Trouble shoot daily difficulties and reconcile COGI variances
- Demonstrate aptitude and understanding of the mechanical and electrical operation of the batching process and educate the other batchers on its functions.
- Create and develop batching improvement systems and procedures that ensure a higher level of efficiency within the daily operations.
- Participate in planning m! eetings, submit work orders and follow up on those work orders! to monitor changes and results.
- Track Silo usage and control, assist in cycle counting and ensure FIFO is being maintained on raw material usage.
- Batch balancing schedules
- Record batching infractions / initiate ideas to improve department.
- Organizing and tempering raw materials on inbound schedules, and for scheduling.
- Build and develop a team concept and approach to the batching process that includes scheduling, training, etc.
- Cover all facets of the batching operation in the absence of other department team members
- Perform, if and when needed, any and all functions of the Batch Tech I & Batch II position.
- Any and all other duties needed within the Operations area.
Education & Experience
- Prior manufacturing experience and pre-weigh or batching experience is required. Associateâs degree and/or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment, or ! a two year certificate from college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High School diploma and/or GED plus prior experience in Batching is mandatory.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, team player and an attitude of ownership are a must.
- Able to read, write and speak English.

- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Define problems, collects data, establish facts, and d! raw valid conclusions.
- Interpret an extensive variety of techn! ical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Mechanical aptitude/ability preferred with previous machinery operation experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Computer literate with MS Office experience is preferred. Must have a high level of personal drive to succeed and possess strong leadership, communication and organizational skills. Growth potential exists for an ambitious manufacturing professional.
- General understanding of SAP.
- Required to use hands, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear.
- The associate frequently is required to stand and walk.
- The associate is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.
- Associate must occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specifi! c vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes/odors or airborne particles, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
- The associate frequently works in high, precarious places and in outside weather conditions. The associate is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
- Personal Protective and Safety Equipment is required at all times by all associates in all production areas.
