Scheduling Analyst I F+G (E10)

Under supervision, develops professional proficiency in the delivery of scheduling services, focusing on preparing and updating ba! r-chart or critical path method (CPM) schedules.

Supp! orts senior scheduling staff, the project team and stakeholders with time management and control.

Develops and updates summary level as well as detailed schedules.

Develops lists of design, procurement, construction and post construction activities based on review of design documents, examination of site conditions and discussions with Owners, design consultants and contractors.

Identifies major milestones, critical approvals and long lead procurement items.

Determines reasonable schedule logic and constraints based on discussion with task owners and/or teams.

Develops realistic activity durations based on production rates and available manpower based on discussion with task owners and/or teams.

Performs such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

Scope

COMPLEXITY (Variety or uniqueness of tasks; relative difficulty or importance of work performed; size of unit supported, e! tc.):

Work involves application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out somewhat diversified tasks requiring the use of analysis, interpretation, and deductive reasoning.

DECISION-MAKING (Supervision received; independent judgment or initiative; consequence of error):

Receives direct supervision on new aspects of assignments, exercising independent judgment on details of regular assignments, minor modifications, and adaptations of alternatives.

WORK DIRECTION GIVEN TO OTHERS (Titles and number of personnel; type of direction given):

May coordinate with and/or guide the work of junior technical staff and/or others who assist in specific assignments.

INTERNAL CONTACTS (Required interaction/relationship with others within the organization):

Interfaces with senior technical staff and technical managers.

EXTERNAL CONTACTS (Required interaction/relationship with others outside the orga! nization):

Limited external contacts.

Job Details
Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying or a related field with 2 plus years relevant experience.

HS diploma + 8 years relevant experience OR AA/AS in related field + 6 years relevant experience

SPECIAL SKILLS

Must be articulate, have clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and good decision making abilities.

Must have good communication skills.

Must have strong to excellent understanding of CPM (Critical Path Method) concepts and calculations; strong to excellent understanding of earned value concepts, calculations, and rules of credit.

Must generally understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
