SOUTH CAROLINA ARMY NATIONAL GUARD

THIS POSITION IS RESTRICTED TO CURRENT ON-BOARD DUAL STATUS TECHNICIANS EMPLOYED WITH THE SC ARMY NATIONAL GUARD AND TECHNICIANS WITH USERRA RESTORATION RIGHTS WITH THE SC ARMY NATIONAL GUARD

DUTIES:
This position is located in the ! Logistics (S-4) Section of a Brigade/Group/Troop Command of the Army National Guard. Under the direction of the Officer in Charge (OIC) or Commander, this position functions as the ARNG Food Program Manager responsible and accountable for oversight of of the entire state ARNG Food Service program which includes the administration of the Food Service Budget, Awards Program, new equipment fielding's, training, Army Food Management Information System (AFMIS) and inspections. Exercises knowledge and application of Department of Army (DA), Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), National Guard Bureau (NGB), state ARNG directives, policies and procedures, subsistence handling, storage, and sanitation methodology, plus food prime vendor food service ordering system, in addition to basic subsistence accounting procedures. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Requirement: Experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in! the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems.!

Meeting the months of experience requirement will not by itself be accepted as proof of qualification. Quality, type, and scope of experience, training or education must be demonstrated to show that the applicant is fully qualified to perform duties at the grade level announced.

Specialized Experience: You MUST have 36 months experience in EACH of the following KSAs:

1. Experience identifying activities involving logistical support operations.

2. Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan.

3. Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan.

4. Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions.

5. Experience working with people from various levels and backgroun! ds to elicit their cooperation to perform specific tasks, and complying with regulations, laws, or practices.

Required Information Assurance (IA) Training and Certification: Selectee will have 6 months from the date of hire to satisfactorily complete the appropriate training and obtain the required certification/recertification for the position as outlined in DoD Publication 8570.01-M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, dated 19 December 2005 (incorporating Change 1, 15 May 2008). Failure to complete the training and certification may be cause for reassignment or termination.

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: A maximum of 12 months of the required experience may be substituted by successful completion of undergraduate study in an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester hours for 12 months of experience. The education must have been in fields directly related to the position (i.e. business admi! nistration, logistics management, traffic management etc.)

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Employees selected for full-time positions that require mandatory training at the National Guard Professional Education Center (NGPEC) will have 12 months from the date of hire to complete the required course(s). Failure to complete NGB prescribed courses at NGPEC for new personnel within the first year of employment may be cause for reassignment or termination.

Enlisted Cash Bonuses: Acceptance of a technician position may affect any bonus and/or educational assistance that may be applicable. Your bonus may be terminated and repayment may be required.

Permanent Change of Station (PCS) cost is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the interst of the Government.

For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid sta! te driver's license for the state in which they love or are principally employed.
