QUALIFICATIONS
Staff member will primarily work out of the MPO warehouse, located at 9 National Guard Road, Columbia, SC 29201.
Perform the duties of a Records Coordinator (RC) and Record Accountability Assistants (RAA) for the Army and Air National Guard Military Personnel Records as prescribed by AR 600-8-104, AR 340-21, and DA Memo 600-8-104.
Staff member must be able to obtain a secret security clearance screening process that will allow their access to the Personally Identifiable Information (PII). The Contractor personnel must provide the required information for access to the iPERMS, Reserve Components Automation System (RCAS), and other programs and web sites that will be part of their instruction and assistance process to units and former guard personnel
Be ab! le to work in an environment that conditions warrant moisture ! control and with or without windows. Heavy lifting is required when dealing with boxes of records.
Prepare Military Personnel Records using applicable checklists, regulations, policies, and SOPs to ensure the required documents have been posted and are accounted.
Operate in a record holding area that maintains accountability of Military Personnel records.
Be able to take hard copy documents and archive records into electronic documents and place them in the proper record.
Be able to handle and answer questions from other agencies on the Military Personnel records IAW AR 340-21, Privacy Act and or AR 25-55, Freedom of Information Act. Notify the proper Privacy Act/Freedom of Information Act Officer on questions from other then military agencies pertaining to military records. Send documents within guidance of the Military Personnel Office to other government agencies through the US Postal Service or make available for the requesting agency! or individual to pick-up.
Have experience in computer programs such as Microsoft Office Package, RCAS, iPERMS, and scanners.
Provide monthly written reports on status of work, action plans, and work schedules designed to accomplish evaluations and corrective actions.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Minimum education high school diploma. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of Army National Guard structure, operations, automation systems, regulations, policies, and SOPs. Staff members should also be proficient in MS Office. Have the knowledge of how to scan documents into electronic format.
Staff member will be required to brief the supervisor of Military Personnel Office (MPO) as needed on the number of records scanned and records sent to other agencies.
Coordinate with MPO as needed in the development, writing, and publishing of action plans, SOPs, and other material necessary to manage and operate the records ! warehouse facility and to correct any deficiencies noted in site visits! and evaluations performed by MPO personnel.
