Title: Research Associate in School of Computing
Duties: Develop models and software for resea! rch problems involving large scale complex databases; analyze models of high performance computing infrastructure in higher education institutions of more than 4,000 colleges and universities in the United States using sources such as Integrated Postsecondary Educational Data System (IPEDS), Web of Science, National Science Foundation (WebCASPAR), the National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics (NCSES), and the NSF?s Survey of Science and Engineering Facilities. Analyze the impact of investment on the computing infrastructure, institutional characteristics, cyber infrastructure, and content of scientific papers published by the researchers at the specific institutions to study how high performance computing has influenced the development of new ideas and concepts in research; analysis of variance, time series analysis, longitudinal data analysis, and empirical mode decomposition using Java, C, R, MPI, OpenMP, and Matlab; perform system administration tasks for th! e setup, configuration, and management of parallel computing e! nvironments, virtual machines, and database managers; assist in teaching of computing courses to undergraduate and graduate level students including preparing lecture materials and exams; write and disseminate articles in professional publications and performs presentations at professional meetings in the field of Computing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requirements: Master?s degree in computer engineering with 2 years experience in job offered.
