Job Title: Patient Account RepresentativeDepartment Name: Patient Account Service! s Location: Corporate Services Full/Part Time: Full-time Shift: 8a-5p Minimum Hourly Base Rate: 12.38 Job Number: 2013-3834 Job Description: Performs duties of billing, collection, customer service, and support service in a timely accurate manner. Maintains public relations with patients and third party payors in accordance with GHS Service Excellence. Job Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent with two (2) years experience in healthcare billing/collection and customer service required. Job related course work beyond High School or Associate Degree in a technical specialty program of 18 months preferred.
Billing and collection training related to Medicare, Medicaid or other insurance; Medical Terminology, ICD-9 & CPT code training, and customer service experience preferred.
