THE RIGHT FIT
SYNNEX is looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on, results-driven individual with proven communication skills and a strong work ethic to work in a challenging, fast-paced, energetic environment with responsibilities that include new EDI implementation projects, EDI production support for assigned trading partners and management of multiple trading partner relationships.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide production support th! rough EDI processes for SYNNEX US & Canada trading partners (c! ustomers, vendors, carriers, etc.) including trouble shooting and communication with trading partners, internal business users and IT colleagues.
Analyze, design and develop EDI maps in conjunction with application interface â" including but not limited to EDI, XML, delimited flat file, etc.
Research and coordinate issue resolution with EDI developers while responding to internal and external customer inquiries in a timely fashion.
Project management of new EDI trading partners or enhancement of existing partners.
Partner in creating and executing test plans for new implementations and identifying business process gaps where improvements can be made.
Consult with Project Managers, Business Analysts, and/or key users to prototype, refine, test and debug processes to meet business/customer needs.
Strengthen relationships and maximize mutual value for SYNNEX and trading partners through detailing and managing relationships with existing trading partner! s.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelorâs degree or equivalent with a minimum of 2-5 yearsâ hands-on advanced knowledge of IT distribution as well as EDI standards, methodology and systems.
Proven experience with multiple data transfer methods such as VAN, FTP and AS2 and advanced knowledge of X12 and EDIFACT Standards.
Background writing and running simple SQL queries and Unix statements and advanced knowledge of IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (aka Gentran Integration Suite).
Basic understanding of EDI mapping concept; Sterling Commerce/IBM GIS/SI Translator and XML desired.
Demonstrated experience working on problems of moderate scope with the ability to exercise judgment with defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Practice interacting with various levels of internal and external business partners/users.
5+ yearsâ experience in EDI implementation, communication, support and project management preferred.
Exper! ience in EDI with major retail customers and manufactures highly desira! ble.
Solid background in Project Management and B2B/EDI skills necessary as well as excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and solid interpersonal skills.
