The Alterations Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager by supervising the alterations room and staff, ensuring alteration customers receive a superior shopping experience and receive high-quality alterations within stated time. In addition, the Alteration Manager generates alteration revenue by setting appointments and assisting in closing brides while on the floor. He/she role models our culture of trust, fairness, integrity, and accountability in accordance with David's Bridal's Core Values.

Experience Required: 1 yr prior management and sewing
- Assist alteration department by sewing, steaming, pressing, and spot cleaning merchandise as needed
- Supervise the duties of all alteration associates, including specialists, CSR's, and pressers
- Ensure Alteration training
- Allocate the garment work line
- Support the education of the consultants in garment fit
- Generate alteration revenue through appointments
- Ensure all administrative duties are executed
- Support the store manager in recruiting efforts to staff the room
- Assist on the sales floor helping wedding consultants close the sale
- Housekeeping and! room recovery
- Perform effective coaching and counseling to all alteration associates
- Flexibility to work retail schedules such as weekends, evenings, and Holidays
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs., climb, bend, twist, stand, and to move throughout the store
