Security Officer Unarmed PRN

Description: Colleton Medical Center-Walterboro is presently looking of Security Officer Unarmed PRN right now, this job will be placed in South Carolina. Incumbent is responsible for assisting in assuring the overall security of all hospital property, including but not limited to, all real property, equipment and materials.
He/she will assist in providing a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, physicians and employees while at CMC facilities. Incumbent will abide and enforce all state and local laws and ordinances.
Qualifications
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
a.
Must have or become SLED! registered.
b.
Must be Registered as a Secu! rity Officer through SLED within 90 days of employment.
c.
Must successfully attend and pass Crisis Prevention Intervention class within 90 days of employment.
d.
Must have or obtain BLS certification within 90 days of employment.
Education
:
a.
Must be able to complete required training for position including SLED and hospital classes.
Experience
:
a.
Police, military, corrections or security experience preferred.
b.
As defined by SLED rules and regulation, applicants must be 18 years of age for unarmed and 21 years of age for armed security officers.
c.
Possess good human relations and communications skills (both written and verbal).
d.
Must have a clear background record check and background check cleared as defined by SLED rules and regulations.
e.
Must have a valid driver’s l! icense, and submit a three year driving record.
Special qualifications:
Must have the ability to effectively read, write and speak fluent English. Effective communication skills; both orally and written. Ability to manage a team and work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care.
Strong problem solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Incumbent must be PPCT trained within 90 days of employment.
Incumbent must complete hospital assigned courses for restraints and mental behavior health patients.
