skilled Waste Water Treatment Operator overseeing the sewage treatment, sludge
processing, and disposal equipment in wastewater treatment plant to control flow
and processing of sewage. The work schedule is Monday-Friday with occasional
weekend coverage as determined by Plant schedule.
Responsibilities:
Treats heavy soil wastewater by way of chemical mixing.
Maintains chemical inventory! for both the washroom and the wastewater
treatment areas.!
Monitors all associated machinery for wastewater system, including trash
pumps, transfer pumps, recirculation pumps, and chemical pumps.
Observes variations in operating conditions and interprets meter and gauge
readings and tests results to determine load requirements.
Maintains log of operations for review and to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
One year certificate from college or technical school; or two to four years
of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education
and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence,
and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group
situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Experience with use of MicroSoft Office software(s)
