How you make a difference in this role:
The position of Program Director 1 within the Business Analyst Unit works closely with multiple divisions within the Tennessee Department of Human Services (TDHS) as well as external entities. This position supports functions for the Automated Client Certification and Eligibility Network for Tennessee (ACCENT) and other systems that support Family Assistance through analysis of business requirements. The position provides support to those designated to perform eligibility determination functions and other functions such as, but not limited to, benefit calculation and eligibility determination, related to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). The TDHS Program Director 1 within the Solutions Delivery area is a business role that provides support related to system modifications/enhancements. The role will also serve as a subject matter expert for the current eligibility system as well as modernized systems and tools as deployed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide solutions and innovative approaches to support the customer experience.
- Collaborate with others, including Information Technology, to enhance/modify eligibility and benefit management systems.
- Develop/Document business requirements which support Family Assistance programs.
- Ensure system tasks are completed timely and according to business requirements.
- Respond timely/accurately to system functionality requests.
- Lead projects that support system modernization efforts and conduct stakeholder meetings.
- Participate in system planning discussions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with eligibility determination in the Automated Client Certification
- and Eligibility Network for Tennessee (ACCENT) system preferred.
- Experience analyzing data.
- Advanced written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Ability to work individually and/or with a team.
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work.
- Proficient computer knowledge of Microsoft products is required.
- Proven ability and experience to foster teamwork and lead team towards identified goals.
