As a Math Tutor, you’ll help struggling students in grades 4-8 to improve their skills and get on track with math. With comprehensive training and onsite coaching, we’ll prepare you to work with pairs of students to build fundamental math skills and confidence. Tutors support students in groups of three for a minimum of 90 minutes of tutoring per week. Students make the most progress when you are there, so our tutors serve during school hours and are needed for the whole school year.
Member Duties : 1) Be a change maker by providing math help to pairs of students during school hours. 2) Be the reason struggling students build their confidence and skills. 3) Be ready to grow by participating in on-site coaching sessions two times per month to review student progress and get feedback. 4) Be impactful by participating in training and ongoing professional development. 5) Be the motivation and represent Math Corps at school-sponsored activities (e.g., family night) to help build awareness of Math Corps. 6) Be an ambassador of the program by sharing your experience with the wider community.
