Description: RCS Corporation is hiring Safeguards & Security Engineer - Aiken, SC right now, this position will be placed in South Carolina. For complete informations about this position opportunity please read the description below. RCS has an immediate need for a Safeguards & Security Engineer in Aiken, SC. The function of the Safeguards & Security Engineer will be to project-manage the work and also serve as a S&S subject matter expert to review the deliverables and interface with the customer for design basis threat analysis on a commercial nuclear reactor. The security effectiveness evaluation methodology includes: . Review of drawings and procedures .

Identification and prioritization of critical assets . Identification of design basis threats . Ranking of threats to assets . Analysis of proposed facility layout to identify vulnerable pathways .

Utilization of quantitative security effectiveness evaluation tools, including modeling and simulation Development of the Physical Security Report is broken down into the following sequential steps: . Review the APR-1400 documentation provided by KEPCO. Conduct an in-depth analysis of the APR-1400 design and KEPCO operational and administrative processes. .

Identify target sets to protect against radiological release, to include the identification of vital equipment and vital areas. The will be done using a blended risk based and deterministic approach. . Identify first a generic list of vital equipment, which will not list the specific equipment but rather the generic requirements for selection of the equipment.

The specific equipment determined to be vital will be specified in Phase 2, in which the APR-1400 vital equipment and areas identification will be completed. . Develop security scenarios for each of the identified targets,utilizing the design basis threat (DBT) . Design the protection program utilizing information learned from the scenarios.

. Validate protection strategies utilizing table top exercises. . Review physical security design features that are currently incorporated in the current APR-1400 design, as well as existing KEPCO security plans or arrangements, if any, and identify items that require further improvements to comply with NRC requirements.
