Description: Grand Strand Regional Medical Center is currently seeking to employ Unit Secretary - Nursing 2 North - PRN right now, this job will be placed in South Carolina. Detailed specification about this job opportunity please give attention to these descriptions. Performs diversified clerical duties for the unit. Position duties and responsibilities include: Performs necessary clerical duties by computing and maintaining records for a nursing unit.Overall management of the nursing station including taking off physicians orders, answering telephones, answering patient call lights, ordering and obtaining supplies.Accept additional tasks as assigned by department heads.High School Graduate/Equivalent Preferred.Ability to handle confidential information appropriately. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred Experience as a ward clerk or unit secretary in acute care preferred Good interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimum supervision.
Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing. Good computer skills required
