Position Summary
Reporting functionally to the Chief Financial Officer and operationally to the VP/GM - Insulation, the Director of Finance - Insulation is an integral member of GBP's Distribution business leadership team and a strategic business partner and key advisor to the GM/VP - Insulation. Primary responsibilities for the role will include being directly responsible for leading the financial function of the Insulation business including all financial and fiscal management policies and practices including accounting, forecasting, analysis, planning and budgeting. A core responsibility for this role is the identification of opportunities and actions that drive financial improvements and impact the bottom line profitability and efficiencies. Reporting to this role will be the Controller - Insulation.
Responsibilities:
Provides strategic financial leadership and recommendations to GM/VP Lead a team responsible for providing actionable forecasting, analyses, and reporting of financial and operational metrics Ensure the financial and operating targets are aligned with Distribution's strategic and operational plan Direct the annual budget planning process for the Insulation organization Identify emerging risks, threats and opportunities, and initiate actions to ensure that the business' financial condition serves its ability to achieve its strategic objectives. Provide decision support to VP/GM and leadership team to assist in running the business Oversee the continuous improvement of accounting and financial processes and the development of the team with the goal to achieve best practices and optimal output Lead the financial modeling and analysis to support the development of short and long term strategic initiatives and business plans Monitors budget allocations, expenditures and related financial activities for the purpose of ensuring that all allocations are accurate and expenses are within budget limits Leads and participates on various projects as needed Establish effective financial reporting metrics that allow quick delineation of financial information, implications and actions required Works collaboratively with peers in the finance organization to ensure alignment across the organization
Requirements:
- Demonstrated and proven leadership practices in building high performance teams
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance, CPA preferred
- MBA preferred
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing organization including cost accounting
