Lead Server

Ensures front of the house operations are productive and successful by monitoring and directing the Servers in Frederick Dining Room as well as providing good customer service to residents and guests dining in Frederick Dining Room.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Observe and ensure all employees are within Bishop Gadsden Dress and Appearance Policy
Ensure all sanitation and nutrition practices are followed
Handle customer complaint in a professional and prompt manner
Responsible for smooth operation of Frederick Dining Room
Inspect and monitor completion of side work assignments
Plan and conduct service meetings with employees
Adhere to all DHEC requirements
Assist with training new staff for department
Work with management to identify problem areas and work to help correct them as directed
Promote teamwork and cooperation among staff and with other operational departments
Participate in Dining Services Department Manager on Duty program
Assist servers during meal service as needed
Perform all duties assigned in an effective, timely, and professional manner
Adhere to all Residents Rights
Follow fire safety and general safety guidelines
Assume accountability for all policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook and department guidelines
Attend annual continuing education and department training as required
Accept other duties as assigned in a cooperative manner
REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
Prefer high school education or equivalent
Must have at least five years front of house experience
Previous supervisory experience is ideal
Pleasant appearance and attitude for daily interaction with residents, families, co-workers, and public
Possess basic computer skills
Ability to fulfill the physical requirements of position and duties
Must be able to read and write English, speak clearly, and listen effectively to employees, dining room staff and residents
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
The physical demands, with reasonable accommodations, of an employee in this position are as follows:
Manual dexterity needed, particularly with hands and arms
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and walk at a fast pace
Ability to stoop, bend, reach, and lift (up to 40 lbs +/-)
Ability to work in a professional office environment and represent the community on both manner and appearance
