The Customer Service Rep Intermediate performs a host of customer service duties such as receiving calls and requests from the general public, real estate agents/brokers or other agencies. The type of request may depend on the business segment: Escrow branches will deal with escrow-related calls. BIS may receive calls related to flood,! tax or foreclosure related questions. Interface with customer! s is typically by telephone, letter, fax or email to handle queries/problems. Uses computerized system for tracking, information gathering and/or troubleshooting.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Interface with customers to resolve first and second tier/escalation customer service. calls/queries/problems. Investigate, analyze, coordinate and track complex customer issues and problems.
  • Verify contacts and account information.
  • Examine customer problems and implement appropriate corrective action to respond to customer requests. Escalate queries/requests for action as appropriate to supervisor and/or field locations for immediate action.
  • Maintain and create logs, reports, records and files.
  • Make proactive calls to determine accounts requiring close attention, identify problems and work through to resolution.
  • May interface with offshore call center to answer questions on process or specialized situation! s.
  • May do order fulfillment. Receive orders, reconcile information, track on spreadsheets and follow up with customers. May prepare customer billings, answer questions about billing and coordinate resolution of billing issues with collections and/or other departments.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience

  • Two plus years related experience
Knowledge/Skills

  • Requires general knowledge of the organization, products and customer service activities
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
  • Must be able to navigate a computerized data entry system or other relevant applications
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain flexible to changing schedules and demands
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to apply common sense, understa! nding and problem solving to a wide range of issues
