Thermal Spray Operator

Description: UTC - Aerospace Systems is currently seeking to employ Thermal Spray Operator right now, this career will be placed in South Carolina. For detail informations about this career opportunity kindly see the descriptions. Under direct supervision, performs thermal spray operations on parts. Performs related work as required.
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Receives and reviews paperwork for parts to be processed; Unpacks/packs parts before/after processing; Prepares equipment for use; Prepares parts for processing by degreasing, masking and grit blasting; Performs plasma coating/thermal spray coating operations; Removes accumulated overspray and replaces clamps, bolts, etc, as necessary; Inspects parts received and processed for damage and for compliance with established specifications and standards; Matches processed parts with paperwork, loads parts into boxes or cart for transfer to next department/procedure; Moves/transports parts to appropriate location as needed; Cleans and performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs and adjustments of assigned equipment; enters various production information into computer database as required; Assists in maintaining supply inventory; Receives, reviews, prepares, processes and/or refers to various records and reports including router forms, labor sheets, checklists, GSP fo! rms, non-conformance forms, etc.; Operates diamond jet gun, po! wder feed unit, plasma spray gun, grit blaster, welder, grinder, etc.
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Six to nine months of experience in industrial equipment operations, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowldege, skills and abilities.
