The HBSS Support Engineer will provide sustainment
support for Host Based Security System (HBSS) to
networks throughout the Navy.
The s! upport engineer will provide technical support via
e-mail, phone, and possible site visits. This position
requires knowledge of the HBSS architecture and
troubleshooting skills.
Travel may be required to provide on-site technical
assistance in the case that distance support cannot
provide a technical solution. Short lead times will be
administered in CASREP type situations that impact daily
operations.
Personnel will be required to maintain an active
passport and maintain the ability to deploy on short
notice.
Travel: Up to 10%
Job Requirements:
- Must be familiar with HBSS/ePO version 4.0 and 4.5
- Knowledge of HBSS 4.6 is helpful
- Must have a good working knowledge of MS SQL and how
- Must be an experienced troubleshooter able to work
- Must be familiar with multiple modules that are
- Must be familiar wi! th developing policy within the
- Must know the networking relationship with HBSS and
network.
- Must be familiar with hardening the Windows/HBSS
Retina, Nessus, and others.
- Must be able to travel on short notice to assist
- Must be 8570 IAT-II certified to be considered for
Education Requirements:
BS/BA in related field preferred.
