Human Resource Generalist

Location: Pelion South Carolina

Description: Walter P. Rawl & Sons, Inc. is hiring Human Resource Generalist right now, this vacancy will be placed in South Carolina. Detailed specification about this vacancy opportunity please read the description below. The Human Resource Generalist position focuses on compliance, employee relations, benefits and wellness program administration, staffing, and the company's training and development! programs. The position will also lead or support various cross-department projects. The HR Generalist will work with a team of five (5) toward accomplishing the company’s HR objectives.

Job duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Compliance: Ensures legal compliance with federal and state requirements; conducts investigations; maintains records; represents the organization at various hearings.
  • Employee Relations: Trains supervisors on coaching and disciplining employees; schedules management conferences with employees; hears and resolves employee grievances; counsels employees and supervisors.
  • Benefits and Wellness: Maintains employee wellness and retirement benefit programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommends benefit program changes to management; directs the processing of benefit claims; designs and conducts educational programs on benefit programs.
  • Training and Development: Conducts and maintains all ! orientation and training programs. Utilizes the company’s learning management system (LMS) to develop, assign, and track training courses for employees and supervisors.
  • Staffing: Leads staffing efforts through recruiting, testing, and interviewing applicants; counseling supervisors on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Job Qualifications:
4 - 7 years progressive experience in human resources
Bachelor's degree in psychology, business, or human resources related field
Bilingual in English and Spanish required
