Job Description
This role is the first level Fiduciary Specialist that applies knowledge and skills in the area of trust and estate matters, investment management, wealth transition, and financial planning to serve high net worth clients. Partners with more senior Trust and Fiduciary Specialist and with a Relationship Manager to gain essential skills to develop into the role of Trust and Fiduciary Specialist. Contributes to growth of the Wealth Management (WM) business by participating in and initiating new client acquisition through leveraging fiduciary skills and knowledge in the marketplace. In some cases, may administer and manage the risk of trust accounts in order to develop or expand WM relationships. Responsible for learning to source new business and expanding current relationships by meeting with clients and prospect! s, and partnering with other WM professionals in proactive, de! mand-creating activities. May serve as relationship manager or team member for a book of business developed by the RTM, identifying and addressing wealth management issues with clients, underwriting/accepting new accounts, administering, terminating and distributing moderately complex accounts of all types in collaboration with the Trust Centers. Proactively engages with clients in wealth planning related conversations; collaborates with partners to develop and propose solutions. Works with investment manager to assist in asset allocation, gathering information to value assets and developing investment strategy.
In addition, the position may have a strategic business segment focus (i.e. charitable management, Special Needs Trust, Elder Services, Estate Management Services, Legacy Trust). Provides analysis of client s total financial situation and offers creative thinking to arrive at workable solutions. Communicates directly with clients in tandem with mentor, busi! ness partners and Centers of Influence including external resources i.e. accountants, attorneys, who are related to the client relationship as part of day to day administration. Responsible for corporate regulatory and compliance standards.
Basic Qualifications
2+ years trust/fiduciary experience demonstrated through work, military or education experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of trust, fiduciary law and federal regulations.
2+ years of demonstrated sales and/or client support experience.
Preferred Skills
Bachelors degree or higher.
CTFA designation or working toward CTFA.
SEI Trust knowledge.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively to meet deadlines.
