Receiving Specialist*, 1st shift

Location: Spartanburg South Carolina

Description: Omnicare Inc. is currently seeking to employ Receiving Specialist*, 1st shift right now, this occupation will be placed in South Carolina. This position is responsible for maintaining continuity with the returns of drugs to the pharmacy, handling and processing state medicati! on returns in accordance with State mandates and criteria, and reconciling expired meds.

The employee will receive product and stock shelves in accordance with Omnicare’s inventory system.

Responsible for expediting product, conducting physical inventories.

Key Responsibilities:
·

Organize items refused from facilities.

·

Check returned products for expiration dates.

·

Ensure products are disposed of according to expiration dates and required handling procedures.

·

Keep the credit returns area orderly and clean at all times.

·

Receive and stock product

·

Create bins and labels for new product

·

Prepare and participate in physical inventory

·

Assist operations techs in product location

·

Adjust on-hand inventory quantities where appropriate

·

Restock bins fr! om overstock daily

·

Follow all applicable ! government regulations including

HIPAA

.

·

Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary by location.

Minimum (Required) Qualifications:
(must be met in order to perform the job at the required level)

Must possess as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.

·

Pre â€" Employment health examinations

·

Good communication and organizational skills

·

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English

·

Good Customer Service skills

·

Must be knowledgeable of administrative practices, procedures, and guidelines

Preferred Qualifications:
(if above and beyond the minimum required)

·

1-2 years customer service experience

Physical Demands:
May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittentl! y during the day. May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal voice sounds. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this role.

Work Environment:
Work in a climate-controlled, smoke-free internal environment.
