Program Coordinator I, BabyNet, Florence County

Description: State of South Carolina is in need of Program Coordinator I, BabyNet, Florence County right now, this position will be settled in South Carolina. Responsible for conducting developmental screening of referrals to BabyNet and maintenance of records regarding screenings. Provides educational guidance to vendors, community and colleagues in an effort to identify gaps and/or barriers in early intervention processes as well as the BabyNet program. Promotes program awareness within the community. Initiate first contact and provide consequent home visitation/face-to-face meetings with families referred to BabyNet through various means such as phone calls, emails and faxes. Maintains current and accurate documentation in the BabyNet Educational record and data system following current BabyNet guidelines. Follows BabyNet policy and procedures to ensure eligibility is determined within policy guidelines. Provides assistance to the Systems Point of Entry (SPOE) Supervisor as requested. Prepares for and provides feedback when attending meetings, committee or work-group meetings and trainings. Prepares accurate and timely reports, as requested, both weekly and for special projects. Maintains a thorough and working knowledge of BabyNet policy and procedures and serves as a resource to SPOE team members and other government entities. Provide ongoing input to supervisor and local early intervention partners regarding barriers and/or gaps and potential solutions for the local early intervention system. Attends meetings and training sessions as required. Makes and keeps schedules, completes tasks timely and reports to work timely. Prepares reports as needed. Performs emergency preparedness/shelter duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum and Additional Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in Child Development, Education, Family and Consumer Science, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology and Public Health and (1) year relevant program experience with children birth to five (5) years old.

Must have and maintain a valid drivers' license.

Additional Position Requirements
Requires holder to drive routine.
Overtime and/or weekend work with Deputy approval.
Sitting or standing for long periods of time. Lifting requirements: 40 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:
Considerable knowledge of BabyNet eligibility policies and procedures. Effective communication and organizational skills. Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel. Should exemplify professionalism at all times and contribute to good team work practices and overall success of the Division. Should be able to identify a need, make decisions, and respond appropriately. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
