Further informations about this occupation opportunity please read the description below. Maintain original records for Securities Division enforcement and regulatory matters. Certify, send out subpoenas and other requests, and process responses into evidence system in a timely manner without error; create and provide duplicate copies of information to appropriate staff in a timely manner. Provide administrative support to the Securities Division with respect to regulatory and enforcement files, statistics, and tracking.
Promptly and accurately process complaints, orders, and related correspondence issued by legal staff, to include reviewing, sending out, maintaining certified and other logs, and maintaining underlying document files in an organized manner. Handle assigned mail and phone duties, to include speaking with investors and the general public and processing calls and mail on behalf of the Division.
Serve as the Clerk of the South Carolina Securities Division, which includes responsibility for promptly and accurately handling all administrative duties associated with holding securities hearings, to include scheduling; drafting correspondence and coordinating between parties; providing administrative support to hearing officers, obtaining location(s) and court reporter(s), maintaining control of pleadings filed in securities cases; maintaining originals of orders issued, securing all original orders and similar documents to ensure safety and authenticity; and publicly and privately disseminating such orders and other documents as appropriate.
Minimum and Additional Requirements:
A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise in Microsoft Word; willingness to learn Excel and PowerPoint, if not known. Ability to handle responsibility; to work independently, and also as part of a team and to fulfill duties that support other team members; and to exercise good judgment and common sense. Excellent critical thinking skills, the ability to know when to exercise discretion and when to ask for help, a high degree of organization, a pleasant demeanor and positive attitude, and the ability to prioritize between competing tasks, are required as well.
