Secretary II For Operating Room
Under general supervision, performs secretarial duties such as answering the phone and greetin g visitors, scheduling appointments, and maintaining files. Responsible for daily maintenance of surgical scheduling system; taking reservations, entering information into system, contacting vendors, verifying information for schedule, collecting and entering post case data and charges. Supports Schedule Coordinator.
Work Schedule: 72 hours biweekly; Rotating Shifts.
Education/Experience Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Course in medical terminology recommended.One to two years secretarial experience. Five years experience in a hospital setting preferred. Must have basic computer knowledge.
