We are seeking an experienced, passionate inside sales representative to build and drive growth for Elegen's transformative synthetic DNA products. You will be accountable for using your knowledge of Elegen's offerings, competitor products, and the broader synthetic DNA market to develop and nurture customer adoption and achieve sales targets.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Meet personal and team objectives for market outreach, lead nurturing, customer acquisition, order placement, and revenue capture.
- Execute targeted email campaigns to generate, qualify, and nurture leads for our growing sales pipeline.
- Effectively manage time and priorities across a diverse set of tasks
- Ensure customer loyalty by suggesting process and product changes to enhance the customer's journey.
- Provide customer support where needed to facilitate customer acquisition and revenue growth including the support of early access and key account programs.
- Provide input on the needs of commercial operations and requirements (software tools, processes, sales automation, etc.).
- Travel when necessary to attend meetings, and sales events, and to receive training to keep abreast of the latest developments internally and across our target markets.
Essential Candidate Profile:
- A degree in the life sciences or equivalent industry experience.
- Proven inside sales experience; track record of achieving quotas and goals on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Experience running outbound campaigns to qualify, and nurture leads for sales.
- Knowledge of conventional selling strategies and methods.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship management, and customer service skills.
- Ability to set relevant goals and execute in a fast-moving startup environment.
- Experience using a CRM (HubSpot) and managing a sales pipeline.
- Strong working knowledge of synthetic DNA, how it is used across the biotech industry, and the players in this market.
- A self-starter eager to be part of a sales organization that will scale and grow.
- An ability to foster teamwork across the growing sales and marketing team.
Preferred Candidate Qualifications:
- A knowledge of our target markets and their buying requirements
- Experience in a startup environment
Salary and Benefits:
The annual base salary compensation for this role, if based in California is: $93,000 - $139,000. Compensation may be different in other locations. Final compensation also includes bonus, equity, and benefits. Specific offer packages are determined by multiple factors, including candidate skill, experience, expertise, and location.
