The manager, eeo compliance will partner with a dynamic and knowledgeable team of Inclusion & Diversity professionals to oversee and implement Starbucks’ equal employment opportunity and affirmative action policies and plans. They will provide guidance related to equal employment opportunity and affirmative action requirements.

As a manager, eeo compliance, you will…

  • Serve as a reliable and trusted EEO/AA compliance subject matter expert to Inclusion and Diversity, Partner Resources (Human Resources), and leaders; provide guidance on EEO/AA risks while providing viable solutions; informally educate others on EEO/AA topics to ensure understanding and compliance.
  • Create annual and mid-year affirmative action plans and executive summaries; develop reporting systems to measure the effectiveness of AAPs; identify gaps in AAPs and design solutions; create progress reports and updates throughout the year.
  • Prepare and submit annual EEO-1, VETS-4212 reports, and ad hoc reporting requests related to EEO/AA compliance; serve as EEO-1 SME for public statements and disclosures.
  • Create and conduct internal audits to identify EEO/AA compliance gaps in employment processes; recommend corrective actions and ensure changes are implemented.
  • Design processes and controls for OFCCP audits; lead any Department of Labor, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Program's (OFCCP) compliance audits.
  • Monitor industry trends and changes to regulations; proactively make recommendations as needed to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain records and work instructions related to internal EEO/AA compliance processes in an organized and accessible format.
  • Create and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with stakeholders, key partners, and government agencies; manage vendor relationships.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

We'd love to hear from people with:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years in EEO/AA compliance, Human Resources, or Legal for a large, multiple-location federal contractor
  • 5+ years designing, implementing, and monitoring affirmative action plans
  • 5+ years leading and managing OFCCP audits from beginning to end
  • Advanced knowledge and practical experience interpreting and applying employment compliance laws and regulations, including Executive Order 11246, the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act, and Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act
  • High integrity and ethics including the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience working independently and as part of a multi-functional team
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Advanced level skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing without having a direct reporting relationship
  • Project management and organizational skills with a strong results orientation
  • Excellent presentation skills

The pay range for this position may be narrower than that displayed, depending on where the work is performed.
