Manufacturing Engineer II

Location: Charleston South Carolina

Description: UEC is currently seeking to employ Manufacturing Engineer II right now, this job will be placed in South Carolina. Detailed specification about this job opportunity kindly see the descriptions. The Manufacturing Engineer II provides electromechanical assembly manufacturing process support to the organization. Position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

Responsi! bilities

  • Design, implement & streamline manufacturing processes, equipment and procedures
  • Assist with continuous improvement Six-Sigma activities
  • Assist in plant layout changes to improve flow & minimize waste
  • Apply knowledge of standard concepts, practices & procedures within mechanical engineering/design field
  • Rely on experience & judgment to plan/accomplish goals
  • Certain degree of creativity & latitude is required
  • May provide information to others & appropriately shares information & knowledge to achieve desired goals
Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technically related field
  • Minimum of 4 years related manufacturing engineering experience
  • Strong familiarity with electronics manufacturing, cable/wire harness assembly & complex assembly
  • Working knowledge of MS Office programs
  • Working knowledge of Lean Six-Sigm! a
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to handle quick-turn & repeat programs
Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of IPC, J-STD, MIL & DOD standards for manufacturing
