Electronics Technician I

Location: North Charleston South Carolina

This position is controlled by the Service Contract Act (SCA) and is classified as non-exempt by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Position will support Installation and Fielding Department supporting various C4I platforms including Marine Corps (Up-Armored HMMWV (UAH) and Joint Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD)), Rapid Responded Vehicle (JERRV), Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles and other Department of Defense (DOD) vehicles platforms as well as Navy C4ISR tactical vehicles, Marine Corps C4ISR tactical vehicles and other tactical vehicles. The C4ISR tactical vehicles programs/projects are comprised of integrating a number of communications, command and control systems and other special equipment into vehicle and potential C5ISR shipboard work on JHSVs, TAGM-R, LHDs, LHAs, LPD 17, and CVNs class ships.

Position will involve the following t! asking:
Inspect, test and certify basic assemblies, su! bassemblies, parts and systems for compliance with specifications and quality assurance standards using blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.

Repair simple malfunctions by adjusting, calibrating, aligning or modifying circuitry and components.

Install basic field changes.

Assemble and/or modify cable harnesses, connectors and electronic equipment into cabinets.

Travel to various installation sites will be required.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This position is located in scenic and historic Charleston, SC. There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Willingness to relocate one’s self is required and is required to be clearly stated in resume to be considered.

Ability to acquire and maintain U.S. government sec! urity clearance and/or Common Access Card (CAC)

Ability to acquire and maintain corporate credit card

High School diploma or equivalent

Formal electronics training from technical school, Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program

Formal electronics training will be in installation tasks, soldering, cable dressing, cable tray, conduit, and making/repairing connectors

Two (2) years experience in electronics, troubleshooting, and/or equipment repair with military vehicle integration to include C4ISR integration, installation and/or testing experience

Preferences:
Active U.S. government security clearance

Current Class A CDL

Fiber optic certification

Copper cable fabrication experience
