Special Needs Network, Inc. (SNN) is a non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the crisis of autism and other developmental disabilities in under-served communities. Our organization focuses on both a top-down and bottom-up approach, working collaboratively with healthcare professionals, caretakers, and parents to provide programs and campaigns that effect change on a legislative level while assisting children with developmental disabilities directly.
We are currently seeking entry-level Child Development Specialists to join our team. The position involves working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), a developmental condition that presents persistent challenges in speech and nonverbal communication, social interaction, and restricted/repetitive behaviors.
Child Development Specialists will work with children through play-based activities and provide applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy, which helps children build the necessary skills to learn and grow. Extensive training will be provided by our team to ensure that all of our Child Development Specialists have the knowledge and skills needed to deliver high-quality care.

Key responsibilities:
- Working directly with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Conducting play-based activities and providing applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy
- Assisting children with speech and nonverbal communication, social interaction, and restricted/repetitive behaviors
- Collaborating with ABA professionals to support the development of children with developmental disabilities
- Providing high-quality care and utilizing evidence-based techniques
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children in a school, daycare, after-school program, or similar setting, or a higher education degree or coursework in psychology, social work, sociology, child development, or related fields.
- Passion for working with children and making a positive impact in their lives
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in working with diverse children and their unique needs
- Physical ability to engage in activities such as pushing, pulling, lifting up to 35 pounds, and quick movement based on client requirements

Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
